The oak timbers are in themseves a work of art, made by the companions of duty. The house was built for one of the commissioners of the King. On the facade of the building, above the porch of the main entrance you can see the coat of arms of the family De Vallois. The Hotel de Vallois is located in the heart of the old City Centre of Saumur within the ancient walls where once stood the Protestant University, close to one of the vestiges Tours, the Grainetière Tour (XV). Its location is excellent, because you are a short walking distance from the shops and close to the Chateau of Saumur. No need to drive, so you can go for a quiet walk to the banks of the Loire, if your heart should desire.
